Description

Two retired math teachers seeking students!  If you homeschool your children and would like for them to be part of an online math class next year, splitting the cost with other families, please message us.  If there is sufficient interest, we will put classes together, so that you do not have to form your own group, and offer math classes starting in August.  We can teach classes in Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Precalculus, and Calculus.  Calculus classes will prepare motivated students to succeed on the AP Calculus exam.

We are two Air Force veterans and experienced, retired math teachers with a combined total teaching experience of about 50 years. Our entire teaching careers, after our military service, have been spent teaching math in private schools and colleges/universities, from 6th-grade math to university-level engineering calculus.  We can help with everything from assessing progress to elementary-school math to AP Calculus BC to college math!  We have both served for decades as AP readers for AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC and have helped our students achieve top AP scores every year. In fact, all of our students took the AP exam, and most years 100% of them earned 5’s.  We have also both served as mathematics department chairs and curriculum coordinators in strong independent schools.

If you wish your child to be assessed to make sure he or she is on track, we can design an assessment aligned to your state’s standards and provide a detailed report complete with strengths, opportunities for growth, and recommendations. Our fees are less than that of most consultants.

Has your child progressed beyond your comfort level in math? We can teach individual students as well as group classes.  Additionally, we can provide summer remediation and preparation for fall classes and comprehensive review and preparation for AP exams.

All work is performed online using a face-to-face platform such as Zoom.
